Doesn’t it seem like everything happens at once? As excited as I am so see all of you going to New Mexico in just a little over a week, a lot of stuff has been piling up that I’m having to deal with before I leave. Does anyone else not feel like an adult sometimes? I’m so bad about putting things off and dealing with stress — that is a TERRIBLE combination. Of course, I’d know this if I learned my lessons. I like to think that I’m organized, but mostly I think I just like making lists and things, which takes time away from actually completing them
So, I find myself with millions of things to do before I leave, which all are little things that should have been done ages ago. And unlike a lot of people (like parents, for instance), I have absolutely no excuse.
And here I am reading another book!
So please excuse me for my recent lapses. I’m way behind on replying to comments and emails, but I’ll get to those soon, right after I clean the damn kitchen *grumble*.
This Week’s Wrapup
Josephine Myles and JL Merrow stopped by last Tuesday for the The Hot Pressure Tour. I really adored their post, titled ‘Do Real Men Knit?‘, which I think netted a resounding response of YES! But I really like the style these two wonderful ladies used in their tour — just… opening up a dialogue. So if you missed the post, click on the link above and if you’d like to check out any of their other stops (and you should!), go here. As for the books, I loved both of them, and that is what they’re promoting after all. See my reviews –> Pressure Head / The Hot Floor

Coming Up This Week – October 7-13
On Tuesday, October 9th, GB Gordon is stopping by to promote the debut novel Santuario, also the first of a series. I’m very much looking forward to reading and reviewing this book, and the post this week is all about the inspiration behind the story. After reading the post, I’m even more excited to read the book, so I hope you will too. It sounds very promising and I love discovering new authors!
Here’s what we’re planning on reviewing this week, before our week off:
I’m currently reading a few other books that I’m not sure I’ll review, so you might see some others this week as well. Magpie is one of those, the sequel to Duck! by Kim Dare. Also, After Ben by Con Riley. I’ve already read Home Work, the third Life Lessons book by Kaje Harper and I can tell you that I just adored it. So I can’t wait for that review

*hugs* I can completely relate. Stupid stuff keeps popping, up, too, like the whole thing with my neighbor catsitter suddenly having to go to Texas for three weeks of training for work, etc. Gah.
Cole
Oh no! Who’s going to watch the babies??! That sucks, I hate stuff like that. Worst for me is that I got sick today. I have a terrible cough, headache, sore throat and thankfully just a low-grade fever. I think that’s why I’ve been so over stressed lately, I couldn’t take as much since I was coming down with something. I’m trying to put off some of my reviews this week, even more than I planned. I gotta rest up to make sure I’m not sick next week!
Chris
I did hire an actual catsitter, but I’m still anxious about it.
Ack! Get better fast!!!
Cole
Oh is that the first time you’ve had to do that? It might not be so bad.
Thanks you sweetie
